| MHRD, Govt of India announced applications for Prime Ministers Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) for the students of union territories of J&K and Ladakh for the academic year 2020-21. AICTE is the implementing agency for this scheme and a total number of 5000 scholarships will be offered through this scheme. Scholarships are available for the students who have passed 12th examination in the academic year 2018-19 & 2019-20. PMSSS is available for studying in regular General/Professional/Medical Degree courses in the prescribed list of institutions given in the AICTE portal. For medical degree courses students have to take admission on their own subject to qualifying the NEET. Facilitation Center at GDC Kishtwar has started student document verification from 14th of July 2020. Prof. Anirudh Sharma, Principal GDC Kishtwar has constituted a committee of nine faculty members, comprising of two teams headed by Prof. Rohit Gupta (Nodal Officer, PMSSS) to facilitate students in availing this scholarship scheme. | As a part of ongoing Nationwide Sanitation Campaign Swacchta Hi Sewa after a series of cleanliness drives in the college campus during previous days Government Degree College, Kishtwar on 21st September organized a Rally in the backdrop of Swacchta Hi Sewa program. Since 15th of September at the launch of the campaign all local fund and class 4th employees of the college along with sweepers were engaged in cleaning toilets and college campus under the close supervision of Prof. Shakila Begum, Principal of the college assisted by the faculty members, whereas on 19th of September a cleanliness drive was launched by the students in the campus where in different departments and laboratories were cleaned. |
