National Service Scheme(NSS)
NSS aims at developing the personality of volunteers through community service. It exposes them to situations which provide the volunteers an opportunity to have a closer look at human, social and environmental problems. They are trained to bring about a harmonious relationship among different sections of the society. There is one unit of NSS comprising of 100 volunteers in the college which works under the guidance of a trained faculty member, known as Program Officer. NSS volunteers are expected to put in at least 120 hours of social work and to attend minimum one 10 day camp in an academic session to become eligible for the certificate.
All in the entire enrollment for NSS and NCC is carried out at the commencement of academic session as per schedule given in the institutional calendar. Students desirous of Joining NSS/NCC have to contact the program officer NSS or Associate NCC officer.
